Jennifer O’Sullivan

Jennifer O’Sullivan was appointed Deputy Commissioner in October 2016. Jennifer leads the DPC’s Regulatory Strategy initiative, which is re-examining the DPC’s mission and role, strategic priorities, outcomes and outputs we seek to achieve, and how we deliver them. Following a comprehensive and highly-consultative process, the DPC’s Strategy will guide our work in the coming years and will give our stakeholders insight and input into our activities.

Jennifer also leads on the DPC’s international-facing activities, in the context of DPC’s increasingly prominent role at an EU and global level, including engagement with other Data Protection Authorities via EDPB and other forums. In addition, she oversees operational improvement and change at the DPC, including the implementation of the DPC’s codes of conduct and certification functions.

Jennifer's background is in strategy and policy implementation, programme and change management, and process and operational improvement, with experience in the public, private and non-profit sectors.
