Senior Management Committee Terms of Reference
The Data Protection Commission’s Senior Management Committee (SMC) comprises the Commissioners for Data Protection and the seventeen Deputy Commissioners. The purpose of the SMC is to oversee and monitor the proper management and governance of the organisation in line with the principles set out in the Corporate Governance Standard for the Civil Service. The SMC provides strategic leadership, management and oversight of the organisation, setting key priorities, goals and objectives, amongst other duties.
The SMC follows its Terms of Reference, which is reviewed by the SMC annually, or as required, to ensure it is operating at maximum effectiveness and to implement any changes it considers necessary. The Terms of Reference for the SMC are available here.
