The Data Protection Commission (DPC) has certain functions and powers under the EU Artificial Intelligence Act (2024). These statutory powers, duties and functions of the DPC are as established in domestic law under S.I. No. 366/2025 (as amended), the Regulation of Artificial Intelligence Act (2026), and forthcoming legislation updating the 2026 Act to provide for supervision and enforcement powers.
