A 2005 Public Awareness Survey commissioned by the Office of the Data Protection Commissioner found that the younger age group displayed some of the lowest levels of awareness and knowledge of data protection and personal privacy issues.  In response to this finding, we consulted with teenagers and young adults and took into account their opinions and issues concerning their personal privacy.  Some of our initiatives to promote awareness of data protection and privacy issues amongst this age group include :
